1. Coach Selection Process
The TDC Board reviews all requests for coaching positions to ensure our athletes receive the best leadership possible:
- Board Approval: All coaching applicants must be reviewed and approved by a board decision.
- Priority Status: Previous coaches in good standing with the TDC and the community receive first choice to return to their teams.
- Multiple Applicants: In the event that multiple applicants apply for the same team, the TDC Board will review all candidates and make a final selection based on experience, philosophy, and community standing.
2. Conduct & Mentorship
- Be a Role Model: Coaches are mentors first. Maintain a positive, encouraging tone at all times.
- Safe Communication: To protect both athletes and coaches, no 1-on-1 private messaging is allowed. All digital communication must be done through group threads or by including parents.
